The picture above is me with my husband Ron. We have four grown children in what is commonly referred to now as a "blended" family. We also have four wonderful grandchildren. Currently, our lifestyle is that of "empty nesters" and we enjoy it immensely. We both work diligently during the week, so once the weekend comes -- we take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to enjoy the pursuits offered here in Charlottesville and the surrounding area; as well as, up and down the east coast. Some of the hobbies we enjoy together are hot tubbing, antiquing, traveling, hiking, siteseeing and "convertibiling" around the countryside with the top down and the music playing.

I work at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail (ACRJ) as the Administrative Assitant to the Superintendent and the Deputy Superintendent. If any person engages in an activity such as the tiptoeing gentleman pictured, they will find themselves spending some time here at ACRJ -- otherwise known by some as the "Hilton on the Hill".
One of the healthy endeavors enjoyed by many Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail employees is the on site Weight Watchers at Work Program. Thanks to the tools and encouragement we receive through this program, some of us are slowly but surely finding our way to a healthier lifestyle.
